Envy Not Me

Oh that fall

How great you are

So far down

So far apart

And I thought that I built a building

so grandiose

So far and so close

So dawned and so boast

Look at the glimmer of the glass

So tall is the tower

So high is its power

So as long as the wind does not waiver

And peace does keep the sky clear

Oh my building so glorious and the

Crowns that joint shakes

But my building no

It does not break

And discipline works hard

And I win and I win

Not challenged by wind

Or truth or the world

It let me throw up a shout

All of these things, look at me,

I figured them out

But when I found myself unhappy

And nowhere to go

from the pint house a high view

My soul dropped down low

And slow was the burn of the cooper at gin

So was the time when I failed not to win

This poem is reflective of my journey to become a millionaire.  I, in my foolish thinking, felt that my troubles would be answered if I could only make  a lot of money.  The last three years have proven difficult and I now know that burden of such acquirement.  It is only through the grace of God that one can do anything in this world.  He tells me not to envy those who seem to have it all.  They don't.  The best thing to do is to be happy in the moment.   Be happy with what you do have. Feel the joy of your surroundings now.  Spend time with your family and thank God for your blessings.  Peace, Love, and Happiness are great treasures to always keep close to you.

If you do not have these things but you try to get them on your own, there will come the time when you fall hard.  Depression will set in, and you will call for a savior.  He will answer you but that would be the hard way to learn that you were doing it wrong.   You thought you were winning, but you were really loosing your soul.

The Lord says:

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die, but instead he turn from his evil ways. . .

(see Ezekiel 33:11)

What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, but lose his soul?

(Matthew 16:26)

I was reading Psalms 73 today and came across "The Mystery of Prosperous Wickedness."  This chapter talked about how it seemed like nothing bad would happen to those who deceitfully earned their riches.  At first the writer of this Psalm was jealous until the mystery was revealed to him.  Those who do not seek after the Lord become prideful in their pursuit of happiness and gain.  They have no mind to help those less fortunate because they feel like they have acquired their riches through there own hard work.  How great the fall of those who do not credit the Lord God for their existence and prosperity.  When you fail to win, your soul will drop down low, and burn forever separated from your creator.  Please change your mind from this fate.  Call on a savior and live.

Let's be clear, I am not calling all people with material wealth evil.  However, credit is due to the supplier of all wealth or else real life will not be experienced.

My God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.
