Being a mom is one of the hardest jobs that a woman can take on. The thing is once you have that baby, there is no turning back. You must face your fears and know that you can do it. You must show that confidence that is buried deep with inside you and tell yourself.
“I can do this.”
Some of us have had some awesome examples of what it means to be a mother and so, we are up for the challenge. The grandmother or mother that came before us made it look so easy, so in our minds we say “Piece of cake.”
However, some of us are fearful that we will do incomprehensible damage to the children we were blessed with. Either way, just know that you are not alone. The job is hard, but it gets easier as you go.
I am here to tell beginning mothers, women that are thinking about becoming mothers, mothers in general, and those mothers who think they have everything under control; this is just the beginning of your training. God is preparing you for something even more if you allow yourself to grow from this experience. Motherhood is the greatest managerial training that you will ever receive! Embrace it and grow from it.
We become afraid of a lot of things in life. But God wants you to know that if he brought you to it he will bring you through it. It is time to realize that all aspects of our lives are spiritual. Everything we go through is for our personal benefit and for the benefit of others. We don't have to be afraid of what God has designed to turn out for our good.
There is always more to learn and another step to take . . .
There is so much to write on about motherhood and I know that I can not write it all. I can’t tell you everything nor do I have the time to tell you what I have learned over the years. Not all right now anyway. My children are teenagers now and I find there is a whole other set of rules that I still need to learn. I would love for you to go on this journey with me as I learn more about motherhood.
There are some things that I have come to understand so far about being a mother. . .
#1 You are a servant and you don’t mind it
#2 You are a nurturer and you don’t mind it
#3 You are a giver of love and therefore need to be filled with love on the regular
#4 You are a helper of all things present in your life
#5 You are a woman with many hats/ many jobs
#6 You will not get half the credit you deserve for doing this job, so you will learn humility
#7 If you do it right, you will receive a reward so great that it overflows in the natural and continues in the hereafter.
I love being a mother. It is not something that I have always done well, but it was something that I always wanted to do. I always had it in my heart to get married and raise a big family.
Did things work out that way? No, I made a lot of mistakes. I do not have the big family I thought I wanted. Instead, God blessed me with all the things that I needed. He also blessed me with all the things that make me happy, all the things that helped me to grow, and all the things that I needed for my family. I thank God for knowing me and allowing me to be a mother.
With that said I have learn a lot about what God has been training me to become. Guess what you beautiful ladies who have been working hard to raise the kids, keep your home, and take care of your husband; you are being trained to become a virtuous woman!
A Virtuous Woman is:
#1 Trustworthy
#2 Constant in her love
#3 Industrious
#4 Self Starting (Enterprising)
#5 Willing to do hard work
#6 Prepared for the Future
#7 Wise and Kind
#8 Blessed by her family
This is only my first post in this section, but I encourage you to take another look at Proverbs 31:10-31. Read about what it takes to be a virtuous woman. Don't be afraid of it, instead embrace it.
God wants you to grow into the mother, the wife, and the woman he has made you to be. Ask yourself, "What is it that God wants me to do with the skills that he is teaching me?"
What do you think the purpose of motherhood is?
Leave a comment. I would love to hear from you.
Motherhood is the hardest job ever. You are personally responsible for the upbringing of your child. You are programming them to be the adults they are going to be in the future. Some of us fail miserably on the first one! But God gives us another chance to make things right. Look for that opportunity to make things right.
Some of us won’t ever get that chance. Perhaps you are a mom in some other way. Everything happens for a reason. The Lord has a purpose for everyone.
Motherhood is an important job. God wants to show you and teach you how to do it, step by step. He is with you.
If you think this Job is easy, then you are doing it wrong!
The Kingdom Principle to take away:
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
You have a responsibility, not only to raise your child but to encourage them to live a life on purpose. Your child will be a product of you. We need him or her ready to spread the Kingdom culture of our Lord, Jesus Christ. It is important not to take this responsibility for granted. You are a Mom Boss.

God does not want us to be heavy with worry. He wants us to be free from anxiety. He wants us to breathe. He needs us to be full of energy so that we can fulfill his purpose.
