Girl, It's Rachel Hollis
author of "Girl, Wash Your Face" and "Girl, Stop Apologizing"
I peed my pants last week. Well not really but I have before and I was never the one to admit my flaws in public. I mean who does that? Who openly admits to the world that they have adult public pee pee accidents while jumping on a trampoline? I’ll tell you who, Rachel Hollis.
That is actually how her book "Girl Wash Your Face" started out. . .
“I peed my pants. . .”
LOVE IT!
Rachel Hollis is so honest and so real. I'm glad that she is on our team as a loving Christian who is an example of success. She is a motivator and this is why I am a fan. She is helping me with her motivation and I pray that she helps you too; especially if you are an entrepreneur or business owner looking to go to the next level.
“Girl Wash Your Face” was such a big hit for 2018 and I’m so happy for her. She has been an inspiration for me ever since I watched one of her speeches. I remember a girl, in a cute little baby doll dress, up on center stage at some Christian conference. She was talking about the picture she posted on social media with her mama belly and stretch marks. The picture went viral and now, so did Rachel Hollis.

This is what my new Insta- Feed is going to look like:
Classic quote from Rach "Girl Wash Your Face:
“Stop quitting on yourself! Stop saying that you'll start tomorrow... start right now, this second. Stop talking yourself out of chasing your goal and start speaking possibility into your life. Stop showing up for everyone else and never showing up for yourself. What if, just this once, you stuck with it? What if, just this time, you don't break a promise you make to yourself? Not out of punishment or penance for all the times you've fallen off your goals, but because you are worthy and deserving of good things and the only way you'll understand that truth is if you follow through on your personal commitments.”
Friends, I guess I should have mentioned at this point that this one is for the girls. We need to encourage each other and give each other some advice. This is for the young women who have time after time given up on what they wanted to do because of all the requirements that other people put on you. The thing is, if we keep on saying yes to other people, then how can we say yes to ourselves? Better yet, if we keep on saying yes to other people, how can we say yes to God?
You see, God can give you a vision and a gift to do something but you hinder yourself because you are too busy pleasing other people. We are not here to cater to the needs of people, we are here to listen to God. Our task should be to develop a personal relationship with him so that we can hear what he is telling us to do. I no longer put limits on God. I believe that what he has for me is for me, but I'm still going to dream big! The bigger I dream the more I know God is able.
Friends, 2019 is going to be about growth for me. It is going to be about working on my mind and my relationship with the Lord. I would love to share my journey with you, so tune in. I will be working on this blog this year and I will also be working on my mind processing. I know that Jesus will continue the good work that he started in me until the day he comes back. . .This was a verse I sowed in my heart because Rachel mentioned it. She said that this was the main one she meditated on through her journey. It reminds me of so many promises that the Lord has shared with us. He is not going to leave us you guys! He has a strong grip on us and he is not letting go. . .
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."
Philippians 1:6
Rachel is a PK. I always remember those who claim this because I am also a PK (preacher's kid). She was a girl who started a life style website that suddenly blew up because she posted a picture of herself in a bikini showing all of her mommy stretch marks. The post went viral. As a result, she became a very requested speaker around the nation and eventually around the world. Her website blew up and her business did as well. I catch her speeches on YouTube and they are very inspirational. I have been following her for a while and I notice her growth as a person, as an entrepreneur, and as a speaker. I am always eager to introduce another Christian example of how to live life on purpose.
Rachel Hollis also hosts two podcast, one called "RISE", and the other called "RISE TOGETHER." On "RISE," Rachel gives advice encouraging people to take an active role in their personal development. She challenges us to do the work in our lives, in our businesses, and in our homes. On "RISE TOGETHER" she and hubby, Dave Hollis, give advice on relationships, parenting, and personal development. Hey, these two also created conferences with the same names: "Rise" (Women's conference) and "Rise Together" (Couple's Conference), which she said are sold out for 2019. But, If you are interested in listening I suggest you download the STITCHER APP or click the links below.
Check out episode 80 . . . SOOO GOOD!! "The Hard Things that will throw you off Course. . ." Rachel is hilarious recanting her pregnancy days and making us think about all the hard stuff that life will throw at us. Life can be hard at times but those times make us stronger. We are supposed to stop comparing ourselves to one another, and keep our heads on our own papers. Friends, things will get hard and you will not always have the motivation from others to keep you moving forward. You have to find a way to keep yourself encouraged through this journey. Develop the mind skills necessary to live this life on purpose!
Rachel did not start off as a well known entrepreneur, speaker, author, or woman of God. She grew into it. She navigated herself in the truth of who God told her she was. In her book, "Girl Wash Your Face." Rachel Hollis encourages you to stop believing the lies that the world has told you to believe about yourself. This life is worth living. This life can be a great life. You don't have to do everything, but just be good at what you were born to do.
You can learn more about Rachel on her site "The Chic Site" and you can follow her handle MsRachelHollis on Social Media. Her new book is comes out March 12, 2019! It is available for pre-order, check it out.
I am eager to read her new book coming out in a few weeks "Girl, Stop Apologizing." In this book Rach is going to lay it all out, the business strategy that will move your mind to the next steps of your success. She says that she breaks it down, from her business practices, to her personal growth practices, to her view on living your best life. She is sharing some of her most precious goal and vision casting secrets with you! I am sure she will not disappoint as she continues to share great business wisdom that comes from our creator. I pray for her that she continues to share her faith and her journey. Let us pray right now:
Lord Heavenly Father
Let your light shine through Rachel
Cover her and her business
Help her to reach the people that she needs to reach
Keep encouraging her Lord
We pray that the right people are around her
Honest people, people who love her,
and people who have her best interests at heart
Strengthen her Husband Lord
Give him the mind to be the leader of his family,
the protector, and the provider of safety
Give him the confidence to discern the spiritual meaning of his role
Raise their children in the mind of Christ
And her children and her husband RISE up and call her blessed
her price is above rubies, she is your daughter
may the blessings follow her everyday of her life
help her to dwell in the house of the Lord forever
Amen
