My Brain is constantly moving, digesting, and computing from lessons of the past.  I am always trying to review, understand, and apply the lessons that the Lord has presented me.  I can't always keep up but I try really hard.

One way that I try to keep up is to review something that he has already taught me: hence the Throwback Thursday idea.  I'm just sharing with you what he has taught me.

Be a Doer

It's time to take action. . .

I remember when God was teaching me about taking action.  This life is not about sitting back and letting others do the work.  This life is not about hoping and waiting for the God to fix everything . . . Instead we were placed here for a reason.  We are meant to learn and grow from this life so that we can enter into the next. . .

It is hard pill to swallow, but we must understand that Jesus said it was finished.  What, what is finished? His instruction to the world is written in the book of knowledge and truth.  Now it is our responsibility as believers to read it, meditate on it, and have good success.  It is our duty as believers to be obedient and apply the word of truth to our lives.

I am making a conscious effort to take action.  I listen to Rachel Hollis a lot and her podcast episode kicked me in my gut when she told me "Girl, stop procrastinating."  Then Tiphani Montgomery told me the same thing "What you need to do is take massive action."  And although they were talking simultaneously to thousands of other people, their words spoke directly to what I was dealing with.  I now understand the shift of just being interested, to becoming fully committed.

Announcement!!!

I have started a new Instagram page called BOOKS4PURPOSE

So far, I love it and I am able to share little nuggets of wisdom everyday.  So check it out.  I set up a challenge for myself to post consecutively for 90 days.  This is being a doer.  This is being a sharer of the good news as a service to the people!

On this page I simply share all the great books that I have been reading.  I encourage you to comment on this post and leave me some good christian reads -Entrepreneur reads- mindset and growth suggestions that you love.  I will be sure to mention you on the gram if you leave a good description of the book.  I can only do it by myself for so long and I would love your help!

I encourage you to live obedient to the word of God.  Answer the call that God has placed on your life.  Be a doer and not a hearer only.  Get busy for God, and not busy for this world.

"But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."

James 1:22

I used to asked my mother why it always seemed like I would get excited for Christ but then that excitement would die down.  She simply explained to me that it was all apart of my spiritual growth.  Your spiritual growth takes conditioning.  God has to train us in order to run these long distance races.  We have to learn how not to be tired out by worldly affairs, but instead dedicate our lives to the work of the Lord.  When we seek after the Lord and his Kingdom we will receive our reward.  When we serve the Lord with our whole self we will receive the reward of the inheritance.

Live Life Worthy of a Calling

Here goes some words of wisdom from my girl Rach:

“Stop quitting on yourself! Stop saying that you'll start tomorrow... start right now, this second. Stop talking yourself out of chasing your goal and start speaking possibility into your life. Stop showing up for everyone else and never showing up for yourself. What if, just this once, you stuck with it? What if, just this time, you don't break a promise you make to yourself? Not out of punishment or penance for all the times you've fallen off your goals, but because you are worthy and deserving of good things and the only way you'll understand that truth is if you follow through on your personal commitments.”

Remember to Live Your Life on Purpose

You are special to God, we need you to answer the call

Until Next Time

Be a Doer

While reflecting I realize how easy it is to forget when we do not review the lessons learned in life.  I want to remember and I want to learn.  I understand in a more complete sense that we learn by doing and this is why it is so important to apply the word of God to our lives."
