About Life

I once was the teacher

Who stood tall and spoke right

“Grow up

Get a Job

Be responsible

and act right”

 

The thing to grasp 

was that my right was wrong

My hope was in life

But not in its song

The left brain taught a journey

That went amiss

A promise of happiness and of bliss

I want to be happy

So taught I, was this

 

What is the true assignment of life?

Why am I not happy?

I have failed the assignment of Life

I have failed

And I fall

So why do I teach

anything at all

 

Change my mind

Change my mind

Show me the life

That I cannot find

Lead me to paths

That lead me to light

Show me the way

Give me my sight

 

Then the Lord speaks

And so clearly he speaks

So open your ears

And find what you seek

 

He says:

 

I am the one true God

And there is No one before me

It is I that have made you

And formed you just like me

But so far away

You fall, you fall

So I have made a way back

For one and all

I set rivers in the desert

And roads in the wilderness

And I call those who I have chosen

And I save those who I find

And all of this because I love Israel

And all of this because you are mine

 

Now with my mind renewed

And set with such joy

I chose to live a quiet life

I work with my hands

I teach from my life

I grab hold of his peace

I let go of all strife

 

So to the youth

I leave with you this

Do not lead a life

That will lead you amiss

Follow your peace

Stay and obey the Lord

Live a life full of Love

know you are loved and adored

 

Do not lean to your own understanding of life

but in all your ways acknowledge him

And he will be the teacher of life
