Process, Growth, and Relationship

Greetings Friends,

 

I have been very invested in the study of growth and building an individual close personal relationship with God.  Relationship is a very necessary aspect of living a fulfilled life with the Lord. Building any type of relationship takes time, commitment, and trust.  A deep loving relationship with the Lord doesn’t happen overnight. It takes a process for our flesh to let go of the things it loves in the world in order to gravitate more towards the truth of God.  My desire is for everyone, no matter where you are in your journey with the Lord, to know him deeply.

 

I also encourage you to meditate on scripture and breath in the Love God has for you.  Check out Psalm 37 and let it speak to your spirit:

 

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

 

I am currently editing a book where I want to walk people through the journey to a deeper relationship with God.  The Lord wants you to know who you are and he also wants you to know your purpose in this life. He wants you to grow in your understanding of why he made this life for you and what your responsibilities are as a believer.  Stay tuned for that book because I think it would be very beneficial for your growth and your process.

 

 

Your process is meant to be enjoyed. . .

 

We are all in process to become who we were always destined to be.  This is why it is very important not to judge people for where they are currently, because they are still in process.  You too are still in process, so give yourself some grace, and extend that grace to other people.

 

Give yourself Grace

This has been a recurring message to my spirit this week.  I am learning to give myself grace, because I am far from perfect. I am learning in my heart that God addresses my faults as they need to be addressed.  He doesn’t correct everything at once, but he is gentle in his approach. He is patient and he is gracious. This means that God will meet me where I am and he will do the same for you.  We are all constantly entering and exiting new seasons of our process.  The Lord teaches us to be patient while he teaches us.  We should not compare ourselves to anyone else, but instead enjoy the peace of his presence. (Read Psalms 37).

 

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him. . .

. . . the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

 

On this Teacher Tuesday I want to share with you a great lesson on process and seasons.  Steffany Gretzinger does a great talk on process and I think you should take the time to check it out.

 

One of my favorite things that she says (paraphrased) is that 

“the process is messy, but the process is beautiful . . and the promise is right in the middle of that . . . don’t forsake the process.”

 

Friends I am just so excited about the promises of God.  He is good. He is merciful, kind and gracious. He loves us so much and I want you to know that this life has meaning.  There is a purpose to the process.

Friends, I pray that this video is beneficial to your faith walk.  Remember hearing and hearing the word of truth is beneficial for your spiritual growth, so I encourage you to listen to good messages like this often.  Remember to give yourself some grace and know that no body is perfect. God is always with you. He sent his son to encourage you and motivate you to continue in your process.  Keep living, keep trying, keep building your relationship with the Lord.
