What a time. What a year. There are many life lessons that I continue to learn. The most relevant lesson that I am learning is that we have little control over our destiny but much control over the decisions we make to get there.
If I had to sum up relevant lessons of life that I have learned this year they would be:
Life is about Growing
Life is about Freedom
Life is about Peace
I am a writer for God. I have been writing these past five years in search for the deeper meaning of life. In order to have something to write about I needed to experience more. My inner soul ached to know more about this land we call earth, this race we call human, and this living we call life. I started on a journey to where I thought I was working for my purpose. The Lord certainly made me see that purpose isn’t something that you necessarily have to work for, but it is something that you work towards. The work that it takes to reach your purpose isn’t work at all, but it is growth. It is necessary, and it is a never ending process. This was a major shift in my mindset. So, when finding meaning in life, we are finding meaning in growth.
Life is about Growing
Growth is slow. Growth is steady. Anything that pushes against the process of slow and steady is probably an attack of some sort. I have had my lessons this year about becoming overstimulated by the environment around me. The speed of this world is a direct attack on our growth, and on our peace. We are supposed to be free in this earthly land, but there is so much pressure to prove our worth to one another that we are often missing the point of self discovery. I think I have to explore the area of self discovery a little more this upcoming year.
Life is about Freedom
Don’t rush life. Take it in slow, breath it in deep. Let every pore of your being experience the blessings that God has for you. Don’t allow the lust of your flesh drive you to do everything at the same time. This will not be enjoyable and you will become burned out. I am learning that anything that is asking for your energy to achieve material success, in this world, will never stop asking for more. You don’t have to give it. You have the power to make a decision and say: NO MORE!! The motive of why you do something is an indicator of your overall success in life. I am on a journey to gain freedom: freedom of life, freedom for my family, freedom to share my faith, financial freedom, freedom to create, and freedom for all minds to live.
Life is about Peace
There will come a time in your life when you realize that only the Lord can satisfy your heart, your mind, your body, and your soul. He leads us to places of peace in our life. He leads us to places of creativity, love, challenge, and blessings. He is the one who guides us to nourishment, and protection. He knows our growth plan. He knows what will bring us peace and safety. With all the things that the world has been attacked with this year of 2020, I am choosing peace with God. In order to have peace with God, you have to believe in his promises. In order to believe in his promises you have to know what they are by reading the word of God. In order to understand what you read you must have the interpretation of the Holy Spirit. You gain the Holy Spirit in your heart by believing in the gift of Jesus Christ. He will satisfy your heart and give you peace beyond the world’s understanding. He will set your mind at rest. Thank you Lord for allowing me and others to find your peace.
The Update
Currently, I am keeping up with my doctoral studies. The Lord has given me opportunities to speak to people, witness to people, and teach about the Kingdom. The Lord has allowed me to start a podcast entitled “All the Things You Need to Know About the End of The World,” which can be found on Spotify, Itunes, Anchor, Google and most of your major listening platforms. I am currently finishing up a book about the meaning of life called “Strange and Peculiar,” and I hope that it comes together soon; this is the home stretch. Finally, the Lord is giving me the strength to keep up my mind by teaching me gardening and how to take care of my body. Hopefully these will be subjects that I can write about on this blog this upcoming year.
This past week I opened up my Etsy shop. This was a big move for me since I am relying on the Lord to allow me the time to create more art work. I am definitely in a space where I have idea upon idea upon idea. I can’t wait to see where I will be this time next year if I keep on keeping on!
The Lord is always good. I am glad that he keeps me and guides me. My prayer is that you grow stronger in the Lord and become a spokesman for truth.
Remember to live your life on Purpose.

Journaling is so very important for your mind. It is a way to create output for all the things that are floating around in your conscious and subconscious. Information, ideas, and conflicts want to get out somewhere in some type of creative practice. More importantly than the actual journaling process is the review and reflection portion. You can remind yourself of the things that you have learned by simply reviewing your lessons written in your journal. Save yourself sometime, write it down. Save yourself sometime and review the word of truth; the ultimate journal for surviving this life.
