I am on this journey to understand more about the truth.  I am seeking to understand my mental health as well as my spiritual health.  I think we have to pray more direct and heartbroken prayers.  These are the prayers that say: Lord we are wrong, please help your dying children.  These are the prayers that show humility and the willingness to change our minds about how we live this thing we call life.

 

So, I write poetry:

 

I’m not feeling the best 

I have a headache and I’m all stuffy 

My joints ache and I’m a little puffy

They told me to get some rest and try to feel better

But she has a list of things to do that just won’t let her

Self-care is the answer says books 1 2 3 and 4

I have done too much self care

That I forgot what I cared for

Away for a day

And away for the week

Is it a spiritual happiness that my soul does seek?

Come back today

But I’m gone again tomorrow

Which part of my life carries all this sorrow?

Today,  I’m not feeling the best

I’m a little sluggish

I’m not cleaning up but making more of a mess

It’s like my energy has left me with two bags in each hand

Joy, hope, and love followed

And now I can’t stand

Oh weary am I

Oh happy is he

I forgot, am I supposed to say they, them, we, or she?

So many things to remember in this falling culture

I was not to be afraid of the terrors, the arrows

But the destruction did come

Am I by myself

Or am I the only one?

Am I with myself

Or am I only one?

 

 

I write poetry to get things out of my head.  I feel that poetry is not only a therapeutic practice, but a spiritual practice that helps you  reflect on what you believe is true about life.  Job said in Chapter 10:1 that his soul was weary of his life.  This is how I am feeling right now.  I am at the point were living two lives has become too exhausting to keep up. I have the life where I work and I contribute to society because I was taught to do this. However, I also have the life where I am devoted to the Lord and want to do the necessary work to see him in the Heavenly Kingdom.  I hear often in my soul “Choose you this day who you will serve!”  I thought I had, but my soul says differently. 

 

We must choose everyday who we will follow, then we grow in the capability to serve the Lord more and more each day.  It is not a final destination that we are working towards.  Life is a constant growing and learning experience.

 

One more thing, the whole pronoun debate is a ridiculous ploy for the enemy to separate us even more.  We have power in unity, but unity doesn’t mean that we have to agree on everything.  Unity means that we put our reasoning, resources, talents, and ideas together for one common purpose.  This purpose should be fighting against and destroying the energy that missions to set human beings apart.  The purpose is to destroy the enemy.  Who is the enemy? 

 

The enemy is and never was. 

The energy that exists to balance the cause

And so it comes and goes because

The energy is and never was

Without resistance you cannot grow

The evidence presents what did not show

And when it doesn’t make sense to know

Is the eternal revelation your love will flow

 

 

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Matthew 7:7).

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:13-14).

I continue to promote and encourage people to seek after the Lord for encouragement, hope, motivation, and food for your soul.  He said that if you really do thirst or if we are too heavy with the burdens of this world, then we can turn to him.  Let us turn to him so that he can restore our souls.
