Hello friends,

I feel like I am coming back into my stride with the help of Jesus.  I am praying that he continues to strengthen all of us on this journey to find purpose.

There are a lot of things that I am learning along the way.  One of those things is the power of reflection. There are so many lessons that we learn through living life and it is hard to conceptualize then apply those lessons if we don’t remember them.  We really should practice a way of remembering and I suggest writing things down.  I have been writing for the last three years and the Lord has brought to my attention that I am not applying the word that he has taught me. As a result, he has instructed me to reflect by reviewing posts that I have written in the past.  Therefore, I am going to start a new series entitled “Throw Back Thursdays."

I will be pulling out some off the juicy stuff from old blog posts.  I will also link you to the original posts at the end.

The Lord has been showing me a lot about his people, about the gifts and the talents that we possess, and also about our wrong mindsets about life.  Basically, he wants to bless us. But he can only do that if we open our minds to creative possibilities.  He made us who we are so that we can shine in this world.  What makes us different, weird, and peculiar is what make us strong.  We have to understand that God loves all of his children; the weirdos and even those who “seem” normal. We are all out of place in the current world that we live, but that makes us special. . .

This throwback comes from. . .

I am so glad God made you exactly who you are!

He made you the way you are supposed to be, with all your gifts and talents packaged on the inside of you.   He made me a bit weird also.  I think I am a strange Christian who doesn't quite fit in the box of what Christianity is supposed to be.  I love poetry, I love all kinds of music, and I love LOVE musicals!  Glee was one of my favorite show's when I was younger.  I relate to feeling like the outcast.  I'm not the typical church going, gospel loving, praise music kind of girl.  Actually, I feel pretty out of place at "church," and this is coming from a pretty normal/weird person.  So I got to thinking that other people might feel this way too!

Embrace your Peculiar-ality!

We should be able to express ourselves freely, the way that God has made us.  The more we express ourselves; the more we learn, we develop, we grow into the people that God needs us to be to connect with others.  We all need to connect in order to help each other grow.

I think that this message is incomplete when you don't put Jesus in it.  I believe that it is necessary to be honest with yourself of who you really are so that the Lord can fix the things that hurt us on the inside.  There is no condemnation in Christ. Therefore there is no reason not to be open to his love and correction.

Each and everyone of us has a purpose in this life.  Each and everyone of us has an assignment.  I am doing what God has told me to do by writing, creating, and promoting information that will help you find your purpose in life.

I am excited about God and God is excited about waking up his children.  He wants everyone to know that he will call the nerds, the geeks, the weirdos, and who ever else that will hear the call.  He is not a respecter of person.  You will be saved by God's grace.  He will save whom ever he chooses to have mercy on.  He will have mercy on who ever asks for mercy.

Guess what?  He already chose, and he chose you . . .

I am so glad that God had mercy on me and thought it was a good idea to save me.  Now he has given me an assignment to connect you with good information that will help you find your purpose.  This post is for the entrepreneurs, the go getters, the weird ones with the crazy ideas that no one else understands.  This is for the dreamers and the ones who follow their vision. God wants to connect you to the right content so that you can start/continue your journey to purpose.

This whole journey is a process

I'm saying all of this to say this. . . We all have a special gift that we must share with each others.  The expression of your potential is essential to someone else's purpose!

You are awesome!

God wants us to bridge the gap that people have made between their gifts and God's purpose.  He doesn't want everyone to be lost, working towards nothing in this life.  We must get out of the trap of working towards what we believe is a good cause.  We must do God's work.  God's work does not consist of us staying in our own bubbles. He made us to shine our light and to communicate his truth to the world.

The Strange Stand Out

God doesn't want anyone to feel out of place.  That is one of the worst feelings in the world, to feel like you don't have a place to be.  You do have a place, you are important, and you do have a purpose on this planet.  This is why you are here, to live your life on purpose.  So, let us be confident that it will all come together for us.

To wrap it up, don't be afraid to be exactly who you are.  Live your life free. Be you. Be Free. Be weird.  Be Strange.  Be peculiar.  Be bold.  Be special.  People will be attracted to how God made you Uniquely you.

Until Next Time

While reflecting I understand how out of the normal my writing this blog is, especially to the Church.  I didn't realize that the Lord was leading me out of the conformity and religious attitudes of my past church upbringing.  While church is a good model to practice fellowship and studying the word; this is not every persons language and should not be forced as the only way to build a relationship with the Lord.  We must be wiser in our attempt to win souls for Christ.  We have to be creative.  Jesus showed us the way: be who you are, obey God, and be an example of how things work in the Kingdom.  Everyone is important, everyone is unique, and everyone has a place & purpose.
