How do you know

that God is God?

I want to address some questions and concerns about Christianity that I think people are conflicted about.  I have been told that I am a complete idiot to believe in a God who would allow such death and suffering in this world.  I have been told that my God is not everybody’s God and that I should respect all religions and people’s personal spiritual practice.  I have been told that I am confused about who I am and what I believe.

My response is that I am not confused.  I am clear and I am on my journey, like everyone else, to get to know God for myself.  I am no better than anybody, more intelligent or more “blessed.” I am a daughter of the most high.  He goes before me and makes a way for his word to be heard through me.  And so I share with you some questions and concerns that need to be addressed.

Triumphalism

Triumphalism is the attitude or belief that a particular doctrine, religion, culture, or social system is superior to and should triumph over all others.

People have a problem with Christians claiming that Christianity is the one true religion.  This is an argument of confusion, that should not be a debate at all.  But I understand that it is a sensitive subject, so please read this post to gain further perspective and understanding. I want to proclaim right now that there is no one true religion, but there is indeed a one true God.

I claim myself to be a Christian because that is the most practical language to use to say that I am a follower of Jesus Christ.  Does this mean that I do everything right? No, but I think that because I follow these ways in truth and practice, that I am on a good track.  Why? Because it is him and not I that has control over my life. It is he that has made me and not me myself. I understand Jesus to be God. He has saved me from my ways and I do believe that this is the truth.  More than that, I know that it is the truth and I invite you to begin your journey in this truth.

“Oh, Christianity is so full of itself. It is responsible for so much death and destruction.”

My response to this way of thinking is to respond with a correction:  People are so full of themselves, and we are responsible for so much death and destruction.  It is not Christianity, or the practice of following Jesus that brings suffering in life, but instead the religions of man that offer false solutions to pain, confusion, and lack of purpose.  Man has never been able to solve the meaning of life through religion, philosophy, science, or spiritual curiosity. When we fail to acknowledge God for who he is, we fail to see the solution that he offers.

So someone asked me the other day the following:

“So you think that your God is everybody’s God?”

It was a question of that sort.  It had anger and bitterness pushing it forward with anticipation of my response.

“Yes, God is everybody’s God.”

My mind is stupefied by how the world has created a campaign against God, the originator.  But even more than trying to prove that God does not exist is the campaign against his people, his loving nature, his mercy, and his compassion.  There is also a specific conditioning that changes the deity of Jesus. I want to let you know that I am equally concerned about the current Christian worldview. Today’s  Christianity has taken the persona that it is the only true religion. My friends, if you only knew about this spirit that kills the knowledge for your healthy living, and drinks the blood of the saints.  It places fear, rules, and regulations for the purpose of lustful desires to obtain order and position. It slowly drains the spirit and prepares it for death, laughing in scarlet attire from the throne it created for itself.   My God is not a respecter of persons. In other words, my God is not a racist, a bigot, or a member of any religious affiliation. And I think this is where the issue comes in. So many people are offended by the idea that God has chosen a people to be his people.  Then they themselves feel left out. The general feeling permeates through the pores of our culture.

“That’s not Fair.  Why would a God of love not choose me?”

“Why am I not good enough?”

“I want to belong”

These feelings are valid and they are deep seeded in your makeup and in your DNA.  I want you to hear this message now because it is not a lie and it will set your soul at rest.

All people are God’s people

And if your spirit yearns for the truth of the father and the son, then you continue to seek after it.  You should continue to ask questions and challenge those who man has set in authority. It will show those who sit high how very small they are.  The motive behind your search will bring you to who God has made you to be.

Know Yourself

Rest in who God has made you to be and take the pressure off of yourself.  Anyone who exhaust himself in trying to be “Good enough” for God has not accepted the gift of forgiveness and mercy.

Someone challenged me on God’s love:

“But the bible contradicts itself and says that certain people are not his people, did you read Deuteronomy 23?”

There was a time when God was showing a chosen group of people how to reconnect with him.  There are spiritual aspects of his law that he did not want shared with other people who were made for the purpose of resistance and challenge.  Understand that there is an enemy who is set to kill you. More specifically, there is a committee to kill you. In the old testament scripture, God wanted his people separated and protected from fallen spirits that were jealous of their position and kingship.  So yes, God’s people are rulers, kings, priests, and leaders. There was an old testament covenant (promise) with these descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but the people were disobedient, they did not follow the way. They became a people dispersed all over the world with no physical connection to who they were.  However, there is a spiritual connection and a spiritual call that brings them back to God. The call is so strong that many people hear it. God has made a way for everyone who hears that call or feels that tugging at their heart to come to him. Everyone is welcome to ask and begin their journey with him. Not everyone is worthy.  But through the grace and mercy of God, he has provided a teacher to show us how to find our way back to him. Jesus will wash us clean and he will continue the good work in us to make us worthy.

Someone said to me:

“Well, your God is not my God!”

To which I respond with a matter-of-fact-ness, that our God is everybody’s God.  He is the creator of the Heavens and Earths. He desires to have a relationship with his creation.  And if you do not yearn for a deeper purpose or connection to the creator, then you were made for the purpose of resistance and challenge.  I welcome the challenge.

It doesn’t matter what religion you were born in, what country you were born in, what your sexual orientation is or what family you come from.  If your heart desires to meet God he will meet you where you are at. If you sincerely call on him for help, he will help you. When you seek after truth, your eyes will start to open to what he did for each and everyone of us.  Our God, everyone’s God, came to earth as a spirit, placed his spirit in a human body, dwelled with us so that we can get to know him better. Why? Because the current rulers of this world system want to rule over God’s people. His people have allowed this to happen through disobedience.  But God has made a way for his people to return to their correct position of authority. It is so very important to get to know who God is, so that you can get to know who you are. The new promise allows EVERYBODY to have access to this authority and position. You can be adopted into the family.

“But what about the wheat and the Tares?”

“Are some people God’s people and others not God’s people?”

The world has made it seem like God is racist.  This is not true. God has the upper hand friends.  He has kept his promises. He has expanded Abraham’s children as the sands of the seashore and as the stars of the heavens.  We far out number any enemy. The tactic of the enemy is to divide and conquer. He has us so separated as a people that we have no power.  Unity is the key. Don’t let him fool us out of our strength in unity. The enemy has created a perspective of wealth as the marker of being blessed, and the perspective of popularity as being special.  He will promote whatever he has to to keep people confused about who they are. I believe God. I believe in his promises and I believe in his people. I believe that if we are concerned enough to ask the questions about who God really is, then we are his people following the call.  I believe that there are those who have hate in their heart, who cannot not see or hear any language of God and thusly are not children of God. But our God, in his mercy and compassion, has also left the way open for unbelievers. The way is straight and it is narrow, and few find it.  Let the Lord be your guide and he will lead you back to God.

God will have mercy on whom he will have mercy

and he will have compassion on who he will have compassion on

The word of God says that people who were not his people will be called his people.  Our God has made a way for those who had no other way to find him, find him through their faith in Jesus Christ.  God said he would do this due to Israel's disobedience.  He said he will cause Israel to be jealous by giving their riches to the world.  He cut his own people off to adopt other nations into the Kingdom.  Israel will be redeemed because God's plans never fail. Read Romans Chapter 8 and Chapter 9.  Pray that the spirit gives you revelation on this saving grace.

“I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people;

and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,”

and,

“In the very place where it was said to them,

‘You are not my people,’

there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’ ”

Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:

“Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea,

only the remnant will be saved.

For the Lord will carry out

his sentence on earth with speed and finality.”

Romans 9: 25-28

As we live this life for God, we learn to live differently then the world.  Our growth means our separation from the wrong way that seems right to the world.  The wheat and the tares have grown together, but for anyone who chooses to change his mind and live the ways of the Lord, belongs to the Lord.

Someone asked me:

“How do you know that it is God?”

First of all, I know God as a person and not an it.  I know God as my father.  I know because of my experience.  I have had a personal walk with the Lord since I was young.  I always felt comfortable talking to God, even before I knew who he was.  In my youth and my need to understand things I would simply ask him:

“Who are you and where do you come from?”

He has been explaining to me who he is ever since that time when I was young. He is a person.  He is a father. He is the Creator. He is our God.

He sent himself to us so that we can have a better understanding of who he is.  He communicates to us through other people. He places me around people who have had similar experiences.  And each time something “supernatural” happens, it increases my faith. Now, my supernatural experience may not be the appearance of angels, or bright light lifting me up to heaven, but I have had my share of miracles.  I feel and see that my children are miracles, my life is a miracle, and nature’s order is a miracle. I hear the language of God sing when the birds chirp, hum when the wind blows, and speak in the authority of the day. I am in awe.  I am in appreciation that he has thought so much of us, that he has made us at all. Thank you father. He is God.

I know he is God and you can know him too.  I know Jesus is God, and you can know him too.  I don’t claim that my belief is higher than someone else’s.  I just know that each person has an individual relationship with him.  Each person explains his or her relationship from different perspectives.  For anyone operating in true love of the Father, keep serving him in spirit and in truth.  There is no one better than anyone else. We are all sinners, and we all need saving. I will meet you in heaven with a warm embrace and we can have a conversation about it later.

Until Next time,

No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man. 14Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”

16For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
