Don’t worry,  God has you in the palm of his hand.  You are his and he is not letting you go.  Even when it looks like he is not working, Oh, he is working . . . He is working it out for you; children of God.

I cannot get this message out of my mind and have a deep desire to share the importance of this with everyone.  There is something always working on the underneath, in the background of life, and in the deep processes of the mind.  It is God's everlasting and eternal plan that sets the world in motion.  It is his sovereignty that creates our story.  It is our obedience to his directions that lead us into his peace, his protection, and his divine plan for our lives.  I don’t want to get anyone confused about who God is or how he works, but we must understand that he is all knowing, all powerful, all loving, and all good.  With this in mind, we must believe that his goodness has already worked things out for the better situation of his creation.  He takes care of his own.

"Providence is the working of the details of your life and mine. . ."

-Priscilla Shirer

The next thing to note is that because all people are his people, then he is working it out for everybody.  We must understand that everything in this earth belongs to him and so he will take care of everything in this earth.  It may not be the way we want it done, and it may not be the way we think is best.  BUT,  God told us that his ways are not our ways, and his thoughts are not our thoughts . . . so, the way he is working things out may not be the way we would do it, but we must trust and believe that God is indeed working things out for our good.  This is Providence!

What is the Providence of God?

The providence of God is his protective care, guidance, and plan for his creation.  He works in constant preparation of future happenings that work out for the benefit of good.

Our idea of what is good and beneficial to us is not the same as God’s idea of what is good and beneficial.  The Lord has the whole picture to consider.  He does not want us to be discouraged about how things look in the present but he wants us to trust that he will work things out for us.  We have to trust and believe that he has already sent the solution to our problems.  JESUS is the solution!!!  We rejoice and are happy that he is the answer. . .

Now, do we understand this answer completely?  No, it is a mystery.  BUT, the more we spend time with Jesus, the more the mystery is revealed to us about how God is working things out!

This leads me to one of my favorite verses:

For we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God and for those who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

This is providence:  The divine nature of God to work things out.  He is the problem solver, the way maker, and the father of us all.  He has us in the palm of his hand, and he will not let us go.

His divine planning is what we must trust in!

It is his Providence!

I was watching a good teaching on providence by Priscilla Shirer.  She talks about what is going on in the background when it feels like God is doing nothing.  It is a must to check out.  I encourage you to watch teachings like this so that you can practice putting good food into your spirit!  Happy Teacher Tuesday.
