Sometimes it gets me down that people can think so ill of me when they don’t even know me.  But the Lord whispers in my ear and tells me that I am his.  It is none of my business what other people think about me.  Why?  Because it is what God thinks of me that matters.  I happen to know that since I am one of his creations, he loves me very much.  How do I know that?  Because he showed me in the bible.  He loves all of his creation:

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

This means that God gave “us/ the world” a gift that was so precious, that the giving of the gift in the first place exemplifies the very love given.  You don’t make that kind of sacrifice unless you really love something.  I know that God loves me because through Jesus he has shared an everlasting source of hope, love, and forgiveness.

Now, how can we ever repay this gift?

The only thing that the Lord  asks is that we share this news with others.  Other than that, the good news is that this gift is free!  However, few people really understand what this gift is.  The gift of knowing Jesus lets us better understand God’s love for us.  The gift of believing in Jesus gains us the mind to live. The gift that God has given us through Jesus gives us hope that everything that is wrong in this world will be corrected when Jesus comes back again.

I am a Christian, and I count it not robbery to share this good word with you.  The truth of Jesus Christ brings so much freedom to the mind that we begin to live a more abundant life!

There are a lot of people who may ask “Who is this Jesus that they keep talking about?”  Jesus is the best friend that anyone can ever have.  Some know him as a healer, as a teacher, as a mentor or as a calming voice in times of need. They’re maybe others who have had an experience with who they thought Jesus was, or had a church hurt experience that severed their relationship with him.  But I have to let you know that people will let you down all of the time, but Jesus never fails.  He will use your painful experiences and turn them into wisdom for your life.

Hence, It doesn't matter what other people think of you.  It matters what God thinks of you!  And God thinks that you are a better creation with the love, hope, and forgiveness of Jesus. Still, he loves you in and out of your relationship with Jesus. God loves us so much that he allowed that option to be available to us. Now, all we have to do is choose if we want to know Jesus more.

If you wish to know more about Jesus, I invite you to explore this blog.  My Jesus has allowed me to develop my writing, not only for my therapeutic self care, but as a creative outlet that gives people a perspective of how life is with Jesus.  He will give you eyes to see what needs to be addressed in this world.  He will help you figure out your purpose and your mission of making this world a better place.

I continue to promote and encourage people to seek after the Lord for encouragement, hope, motivation, and food for your soul.  He said that if you really do thirst or if we are too heavy with the burdens of this world, then we can turn to him.  Let us turn to him so that he can restore our souls.

I hope you take the time to appreciate the long, rich, multi-faceted history of the black culture and art! Check out the collection of Black History Posts from earlier this year.

A Collection of Black History Posts

I believe that creativity is food for your "spirit man" and that to care for your spirit is so much more important than your physical being. However, all of these things are connected.  We need to develop all aspect of our lives.  Do something creative, appreciate creativity, and learn more about your creative ability.  This is part of your purpose.  And remember to always live on purpose because it is your destiny.
