Should I become a writer for God?

I don’t know, did he call you to it?

If he called you to do it, stand up girl and get to it. Believe me, as I write to you I am reminding myself of the assignment the Lord gave me to do. I hope that this helps you on your journey.

I think that deciding to write for the Lord is a huge commitment to make. When I first started I definitely felt led. I didn’t know how I knew what to do, but I definitely felt like it was the right thing to do. Here I am about five years later still typing away on this little tiny computer. I am all the things that they say a blogger shouldn’t be. . .

I am not consistent in posting.

I don’t know anything about SEO.

I don’t make any money at it.

And I don’t spend a tremendous amount of time on social media trying to promote it.

I just write, which would explain why I don’t make money from it. I think if you want to be a blogger for Christ, go for it! If you don’t have the time he will make the time for you. The Lord may also challenge you to make the time for him. This was definitely the case for me. I have grown a lot in the word and in my relationship with the Lord. I definitely feel like a stronger Christian. I made a major shift in understanding who I was and how my gifts were beneficial for the Kingdom. So, if you have a calling to write the book, write the book. If you have a calling to write the magazine article, write the magazine article. If you have a calling to write the blog, write the blog and see where the Lord takes you.

The Lord has developed my writing to the point where I want to write books. This is something that is on my mind all the time. He will train your brain and raise your skill to help fulfill his purpose. Don’t worry about being good enough and don’t worry about what people will think about you. If the Lord called you to it, he will bring you through it.

I feel like if you want to be a writer for the Lord, he will train your hands and your fingers for the battle. Be strong and of good courage. Stand up girl and do the work. You can do this!

I continue to promote and encourage people to seek after the Lord for encouragement, hope, motivation, and food for your soul. He said that if you really do thirst or if we are too heavy with the burdens of this world, then we can turn to him. Let us turn to him so that he can restore our souls.
