Since it is January and a lot of people are looking up information about setting goals and writing vision; I figured this is a pretty good time to talk about vision boards!
My name is Tamorra and I am the art teacher for purpose. I write, create, and promote information that will help you find your true purpose to this life. I decided to write a series of blog post about Vision Boarding for Christians. This is not the place where we talk about manifestation or the law of attraction. We are going to start off slow and work our way through this "Write the Vision" Journey.
What is a vision Board?
In short, a vision board is a visual creation or a visual representation of your goals and aspirations.
Here are some vision boarding projects that you can try for the year 2022. You can use a vision board as a tool to focus and remember what you want to do in life!

#10 The Vision Wall
#11 The Vision Board Scrapbook
Okay, so Let's get into it
#1 The Original Vision Board
The Original Vision Board is a simple poster board where you can paste visuals of your goals and future visions. The key is to choose visuals that have meaning to you. If you have aspirations of being happy, a smiley face is nice. Maybe you have a goal to get a new car or house this year. You can place that picture on your vision board. I will write another article about why and how this works.
#2 The Vision Door
Sometimes I use my closet door as a vision board resting place. I started this because I wake up and see my closet every morning. It helps to keep me focused on my goals. You can put posters up or just use the door to pin pictures! Don't be afraid to use words also, especially if they mean something to you. However, images are key for your brain processing power!
#3 The Vision Book or the Vision Journal
I am known to make a good art journal. Most of my art journals are scribbles, stickers, and jots of my dreams and aspirations. I also add scriptures to remember God's promises and plans for me. So many things you can do with this which leads me to #4 and #5.
#4 The Vision Calendar Book (PLANNER)
Write your vision where you will see it everyday. Place pictures in your planner to remind you what your goals are every month. You want your brain to be able to process this everyday and say "this is what we are doing today." You will get closer to your goals if you stay focused on them!
#5 The Vision Sketch book
If you are a little bit more creative, you can create your own sketch book and draw out your goals. I do this when ever I need to get an idea for a new room design. I draw it out. I create it before it is even a reality by thinking about it and drawing it on paper.
#6 The Vision Board Screensaver
You don't always have to use magazines!!! No, No Friends, the technology is abundant in making collages on your phone and computer! Make something cute by finding some stock photos on the internet. Download an ap! Make it happen in your style!
#7 The Vision Board Instagram account
If you have a style and you want to keep track of your visual inspiration, create a private or public Instagram account. I have three Instagram accounts; one is for my family vision, a second is a vision board of all the books I want to read, and the third is the vision I have for this blog. Yep, I put my vision everywhere! Click the pic and you can follow us @mo_4_monday
#8 The Pinterest Vision Board
Same Thing with this amazing ap! You can create an unlimited amount of boards that are pleasing to the eye! Your vision board can be full of pictures that inspire or pictures that remind you of where you want to be. You can dedicate a whole board to one goal. Just remember to take some time to view it. A key to remember is that your brain is going to process the last thing that you see at night and the first thing that you see in the morning much deeper then other things. So, what are you going to prioritize to see first?
#9 The Cork board vision board
Cork is Fun! I just bought a new cork board at Hobby Lobby with 40% off. All you have to do is pin your pictures to your board. This is an easy to edit vision board idea!
#10 The Vision Wall
What ever your style and what ever brings you good vibes is a good idea. Images can uplift and set a mood so, make sure you are looking at things that feed your spirit. Find pictures and cut them to the same size to make a tidy vision wall OR make a collage of pics that cover the wall; your choice. We suggest a thin double stick tape for this project. These pics came from a kit but I just loved how my daughter put her vision wall together!
#11 The Vision Board Scrap book
I think I love vision board project so much because they can be pretty much what ever you want them to be. I love scrap booking and I have a lot of old cards, stickers, paper, and pictures to fill up a scrapbook. But what about building a scrapbook/ vision book that your children and grandkids could appreciate years down the line? I like writing a goal on one side of a page, then taking a picture when that goal is achieved on the other side. If you think about it, everything in your life came from the vision that was put in front of your eyes. Your whole life is a true manifestation of what you believe for your life.
You can use your vision board to change your life just by changing what you look at. So many different ways to approach these projects. Now, when you think about vision boarding I hope you think about CREATIVITY, ORGANIZATION, and FOCUS. What ever you decided to do, make it fun!!
I write this blog from a Christian Worldview. It is dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the coming of his Kingdom. Therefore all content is God centered and adheres to the word of God. My Goal is to motivate you to find your purpose.
