We Need Each Other to Survive

Friends, let me tell you how important you are to me.  You are so important that I need you to survive in this world.  We need each other. We need to show each other love, we need to learn from each other, we need to encourage each other. Let us love each other and take special consideration of the growth of our spirits and souls.

I am really interested in research concerning interpersonal relationships and how they help form or personalities, belief systems, and mindsets.  Wouldn’t it be awesome to live in a world where we all appreciate each other for the individual creations we were meant to be?  You are special, and I love you because you have something special to offer this world.

There was this particular song that I heard  during church service this weekend. It was a song that I had heard before, often even. . . In my devotion to God I related it to his divine excellence and worshiped him for his awesomeness.  I sang praises to the Lord not really reading too much into the words of the song to fully understand the meaning of it. While we were singing on this day however, the words filled my heart with another level of understanding.  And it was not like I didn’t have this understanding before, but somehow I became more aware of how awesome God is and how awesome his people are. The importance of understanding that God is everywhere hit me passionately. He is the great I am.  He has designed us to need each other, to lean on each other, and to support each other. God is in us and therefore God is everywhere.

The lyrics of the song go like this:

I need you, you need me

We're all a part of God's body

Stand with me, agree with me

We're all a part of God's body

This means that we are each a part of the body of Christ.  If you hurt, I hurt. If you are in trouble, I am in trouble.  If you are going through, I am going through. On the flip side, if I have truth, you have truth.  If I am doing good, you can share in my joy. A win for you is a win for me.

Do we understand the severity of this?  Can we not see the awesomeness of our connection to one another?

Next, is to understand the strength of words and how they bring us together.  Words can edify and uplift; or they can tear down and discouraged. We have to understand that when we speak against a person or if we speak against their purpose, we speak against our own purpose.  Know the strength of your words.

Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat the fruit there of.

Proverbs 18:21

More  lyrics:

I pray for you, you pray for me

I love you, I need you to survive

I won't harm you with words from my mouth

I love you, I need you to survive

Friends, this is your motivation for Monday:

You are not alone, You are Important!

The Lord’s will is that all your needs are provided for.

Let his people love each other and look out for each other.

This is what it means to be part of the Kingdom!

Thank you Lord for using Hezekiah Walker to bring this understanding to us.

Amen.

We are all apart of God’s body

I need you, you need me

We're all a part of God's body

Stand with me, agree with me

We're all a part of God's body

[Chorus]

It is his will, that every need be supplied

You are important to me, I need you to survive

You are important to me, I need you to survive

(Everybody look at somebody and tell them “I need you”)

[Chorus]

I need you, (you need me), you need me

(We’re all a part) We're all a part of God's body

(Stand with me) Stand with me (Look at somebody and tell them “Agree with me”)

Agree with me (We’re all a part)

We're all a part of God's body (It is his will)

[Chorus]

It is his will, that every need be supplied

You are important to me, I need you to survive (tell your neighbor)

You are important to me, I need you to survive

[Chorus]

I need you, (let me hear you, you need me) you need me

(For we’re all are) we’re all a part of God's body

(Stand with me) Stand with me

(Agree with me) Agree with me

We're all a part of God's body (It is his will)

[Chorus]

It is his will, that every need be supplied (You’re important)

You are important to me (Yes you are, I need you)

I need you to survive (You are important to me)

You are important to me, (I need you to survive) I need you to survive

[Chorus]

I pray for you, (I pray for you) you pray for me

(I love you) I love you, (I need you) I need you to survive

I won't harm you with words from my mouth

I love you, I need you to (yes Sir) survive (I pray for you)

[Chorus]

I pray for you, you pray for me

I love you, (Come on ya’ll)

I need you to survive (hold somebody’s hand and tell them, come on ya’ll)

I won't harm you with words from my mouth

I love you, I need you to survive (look at somebody’s hand wait for you)

Remember to keep living and to live on Purpose

Until Next Time
