Thank you for checking me out on these pages that are slowly coming together on this site. It has definitely been a learning experience to come into the full understanding that the Lord wants us to live a free life. I think many Christians hear about freedom in the church setting but we don’t really walk in that truth. It is his desire for us to live happy/free while using the special gifts and talents that he has placed in us. Some of us do know this peace but we are not too sure on how to share it with others. This is why when I finally woke up from being controlled by the world around me, I decided to record my journey. I am not saying that I have it all figured out but I am glad that I am walking this journey with Jesus. I hope that my notes on life will help you on your journey to purpose.
I'm an Artist
I remember the time when Erykah Badu said:
“I’m an artist, and I am sensitive about my sh*t”
Profanity aside, I am 100% in agreeance with this statement. It takes a lot to outwardly create an idea that once lived inside of you; then present it to people for open ridicule and judgement. It is something that I did more easily when I was younger. As a child it was natural to create and to share that creation. As we get older we become more aware of other people’s opinions to the point where we start to care. Through this journey I have learned that God wants us to share and he doesn’t want us to worry about what other people think. It just doesn’t matter what other people think. So, this year I am going to make a more conscious effort to share my work instead of keeping it to myself. I may even do some videos on it just for my readers. Stay tuned as I post my artwork, my journaling, and perhaps some of my poetry.
