I was doing a lot of reflecting this week. There are a lot of rumors and babblings about the future of this country. Many people are talking negatively about Donald Trump with hate in their hearts and meanness in their spirits. But I try to find comfort in the Lord. I'm trying to stay calm.

I remembered buying this little book at a gas station when we were making our way back to New Jersey from Orlando Florida. God had allowed us to go on debt free vacation to Disney World, shortly after I had lost my job and had little to no money to pay my bills. But the Lord told me he was leading me into a new Life and that I should just keep calm and trust him.

So, we kept the trip that we had planned the year before, instead of flying, we drove and I paid gas and tolls with a bowl of quarters that we saved up. In reality, it was impossible for us to go on this trip but God will always make a way.

And so, as I stopped to pay for my gas in Georgia (it is not New Jersey so you actually have to get out of the car), I walked into the convenient store and I saw a round wire revolving book shelf tucked away in the corner, with a little book that read “Keep Calm and Trust God.” Something inside of me pulled my hand towards that little white book with red letters. The Lord told me to buy it, read it, because it is for you. And so I did, and it was a blessing to me. I had no idea at the time that it had been such a blessing to so many other people.

So I say to you in this time of trouble: “Keep Calm and Trust God.”

The Inauguration

I am collecting my thoughts on and about this presidential inauguration that took place on this past Friday, January 20th. I listened to the speech and I had no issues with it. I think I said it before in a blog post, most of what the man says I agree with, however I have sense enough to understand that we do not have the same perspective and the very words that he speaks may just be the collapse of my world.

However, I do not worry about these things because I know that God is in control and that God placed him in that office for whatever the reason. I trust in no man but I trust in the Lord. Understanding universal law I recognize how powerful my words are and my thoughts/prayers/concerns will be more helpful as positive declarations of success. I speak and claim new spiritual awareness for the truth for the people in America. I pray for the people of America. I pray for safety.

While everyone is running around worried about what Trump is going to do in office, I sit and talk to God. I ask God, what am I supposed to do at this time? Should I let the people know what time it is? Should I urge them to get right and to wake up to the end times?

God says that teachers of the word cannot yell at the people to make them change their minds about serving the Lord. We can only present, teach, give warning always in love and for the concern for their soul. So I am praying for each and everyone of you to find God and develop a relationship with him. There is peace in the Lord. He will keep you calm.

“For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity (love) among yourselves for ‘Charity shall cover a multitude of sins.’ Use hospitality one to another without grudging (grumbling). As every man hath received the gift even so minister the same one to another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” I Peter 4:6-10

Everything we do should be for the glory of God. I pray that your eyes are opened soon and that you take active steps in using your gifts to spread the word of God. With no fear and no worries. We should present the gospel with hope and love not with death and despair. We should not join the world with its conspiracy theories, it’s vain babblings, and it’s way of placing fear in people’s hearts.

Keep Calm and Trust God

I will let God take control because this is not my battle. I am slowly learning and recognizing the attack of the enemy. Worry, stress, fear and anxiety is not of God. So when these things like this come over me, I resist them, by calling on help from the Lord. I understand that this is a spiritual battle and I can not hush my pain by drinking, drugs, fornication, or anything else that may seem pleasing to the flesh. Anything that I feed the flesh will be unfulfilling and the only thing that will get me on the right track is the word of God, fellowship with God, and direction from the Holy Spirit.

So, I keep calm and I trust God.
